Some members of the Brampton Photo Group joined me at Humber Bay West to wait for the Super Moon to make its appearance. There was some question as to whether the weather was going to cooperate but that was why I chose this particular place. The park allows one to see another view of the Toronto skyline so if the moon refused to show itself at least we could get some photos of the city. We were lucky tonight as the moon did make an appearance although some clouds blocked its progression in the sky. The moon did not seem overly large because of this but I still had a great time getting  some photographs.

We got there early enough to set up and also photograph the skyline while there was some nice soft lighting. As the night finally crept in some low lying cloud blocked the initial rising of the moon but soon it popped out and we focused our shooting on the moon.

The above photo was very early on in the evening as the moon was trying to escape that low lying cloud. As it got higher in the sky the more the reflection of its light showed up on the lake.

There were also people out that were just there to enjoy the moonrise which helped me in creating the silhouettes in the above image. I was also pretty happy that the small plant shows up because of the reflection in the water. Shortly after this we headed home to find out what we captured. For me it ended up being a pretty successful night.
