With the lack of clouds yesterday we were a little slower to get up this morning for sunrise but I wanted to make sure we wouldn’t sleep in just in case it was perfect weather. And I’m very glad we got up, the conditions were perfect.

Watch the Dawn

Watch the Dawn

It’s amazing what a little cloud and morning mist can do to a photo. Here is a photo I took by accident – I forgot to change my white balance settings from the night before but I like how the blue changes the mood completely.

After some time shooting we went back to the cabin for some breakfast and plan our last day here in Algonquin highlands. Since we were not rushed to get out of the cabin we decided we would drive up to Oxtongue river and then come back for our stuff before heading back home.

On the drive we captured these gulls resting on a floating dock with the mist still enveloping them. A nice minimalist photo.

Up to Ragged Falls

Up to Ragged Falls

We spent some time on the Oxtongue river up I was not feeling inspired so we did the trek to one of the lookouts at Ragged Falls. Our initial goal was to get to the bottom but the water levels were much higher than last year so we played it safe by staying away. And so ended the weekend as we packed up and drove home.
