Today I set out on a different type of journey – biking the Humber river trail. The trail was extended during the 2015 Pan Am Games which means that the biking is quite good along here. It was always a favourite path of mine when I first learned to rollerblade and on some occasional trips on my bike.
The trail has a few entrances that lead into the Humber Arboretum where you can spend your time walking the trails there. In the past I have found deer just inside its gates. Not today though – I could hear the birds along the trail but the deer were nowhere to be seen. Course it was the middle of the day and it’s quite rare to see them during the day.
I made a conscious decision to only take my IR camera along with me today. On a bright sunny day in summer this camera shines.
I highly recommend if you live nearby or are visiting the area to get out on this trail. As I mentioned earlier it was (and still is) one of my favourite trails to get on when I’m not traveling north to finish the Bruce Trail.
