We headed out early that morning hoping to be at the Forks just before sunrise, which was estimated at 5:43am. I managed to get out of bed at 4am and headed out to meet the gang . We barely made it to the site before the sun started to peak on the horizon. To my delight as we rounded the bend I saw the mist coming off the lake. Course with such drastic temperature changes we’ve been having it’s not really that much of a surprise.

Luckily I had chosen the valley to shoot since it would take longer for the sun to crest over the hill, this gave me more than enough time to set up and take some test shots. Here are a couple of the shots I took as the sun crested the hill.
