Garden Treasures

Back in the garden again today. This time I worked on being a little more creative in what I shot. To start I decided to photograph something that I normally wouldn’t think to photograph – dill weed.

It is a rather pretty weed isn’t it? Its yellow ¬†flowers eventually turns into solid seeds that you would use to pickle whatever it is you want to pickle. Of course my mother still has tons of flowers – particularly roses. I decided to go black and white on this specific one.

I like the harshness of the image considering most would think of a rose as something fragile.
