Mushrooms of Scottsdale Farm

If you’ve been out shooting with me or even read this blog you know that I am fascinated by mushrooms. So, that means whenever I’m out hiking I’m always on the lookout for this diverse plant. I was very¬†happy to find one today.

And poking out of some moss no less. Moss is another interesting flora. It can transform something into a beautifully green carpeted object. I don’t know that much about moss – the one below in particular seems to have spores growing out of it. Could it be a another type of fungi? Seems more research is needed.

The area I was in is usually filled with all sorts of mushrooms but it seems I may have some to early in the season to find what I was looking for.

I did however, find a lovely yellow grasshopper resting on a tree trunk.
