Today I went out to Silver Creek with some members of the Brampton Photo Group. This part of the trail first takes you through a meadow before heading up into the forested escarpment. The Autumn colours have started to change the colouring in the leaves but it’s still a little early for the peak of the season.
I found this funny curved tree along the trail during one of our photo breaks. This was the best angle that showed the trunk of the tree. One of my friends spent most of his time trying to find some little critters and I’d have to say he was very successful. Here is a millipede that some other hikers found for us.
We continued on a little further before heading back to our cars. Once we got back to the meadow we lucked out with another little critter making an appearance for us. This one I’d been searching awhile for. When I was little we had so many in our backyard but now they seem to no longer be around.
One of my favourite bugs. 🙂
