Today was finally the day I finished the Niagara section of the Bruce Trail. I’m not sure why it took me so long to get through the 81.8 kilometres but it did. Maybe it had to do with the fact that the drive seemed so long after a while and that 407 bill was getting a little high. Well, I finally made it to Grimsby Mountain the boundary between Iroquoia and Niagara. This was a tough one to get through as it started out with the trail heading straight up Grimsby Mountain but at the top it leveled out for a short time.

Fallen Tree

Crossing the road I entered into the section that paralleled Ridge Road. For a short time it was pretty good going and then it got rocky. I mean, really rocky. It was tricky going for a while and then it was up to the top of the escarpment and level territory again.

Black-Eyed Susan

Finally I reached the turnaround point which was a relief with the high heat and the rocky path.
