Overnight we had a very showy thunderstorm . After a short-lived show the thunder and lightning made its way out of the area and we were left with rain interspersed with drizzle which lasted into the early afternoon. The only good thing about the rain was that the fire ban was lifted. A very nice ranger stopped to let us know and we joked around with him for a while and were able to score some free firewood for our last evening at the park. After the rain petered out we went for a short walk down the Beaver Meadow Trail.
The great thing about the rain storm is the mistiness that is sometimes left behind.
After our walk we headed back to the campsite to get our dinner and the campfire going.
