I went out exploring with Nigel today. Our first stop was the Humber Arboretum. In all my years living here I have never stepped foot into the arboretum. I have roller bladed along the path next to it and the Humber River but until today I had not been into the arboretum proper. Well needless to say it was uneventful. The only things out and about were the squirrels and us. No deer, no owls, and no birds – oh wait there was two pairs of mallards. The photo below shows the mood I was in by the time we had walked around part of the park- dark and moody.
So it was time to move on to bigger and better things like the BAPS temple located just off the highway not too far away from where I live. This at least gave us something to shoot. I spent most of my time concentrating on getting detail shots of both the wooden engravings and the marble ones. This was my favourite of the day.
The cold finally got to us so we decided to head home. We will leave the arboretum for another warmer day in the future.
