So as you’ve noticed lately I’ve been sticking close to home. How can I not with all the great flowers that have been planted. Appreciating what’s close to home is important to my photography. The garden gives me a chance to try out new gear and new techniques. Today the roses have reached full bloom so of course I had to get at least one photo of one.

I pulled a little of the colour out to get a more vintage look. I really like this technique for roses. They just seem to make it work.
