Today is Thanksgiving day in Canada and the plan was to get up early to take some misty morning shots. Max and I met up at sunrise at Forks of the Credit Provincial Park to photograph at the kettle lake. We had some great mist this morning with the warmish temps and there were some great opportunities.
After the sun rose and the mist dissipated we walked the trails looking for little things to photograph – namely insects. I lucked out when I planted my camera in front of some dew drenched berries and was surprised to find a dewy ladybug clinging to one of the berries.
I was originally looking at the water droplet when I noticed the ladybug. Not what I expected to find today but was happy to come across it by accident. Our journey continued to the cataract falls before we turned back to grab some lunch. It was the perfect day to be out for a hike – blue skies and amazing autumn colours to contrast it.
Couldn’t have asked for a better day.
