After my reflexology appointment I thought I would brave the elements once again to get some long exposure shots at the Port Credit harbour. Instead of heading the direction I usually do Ā I went down the river on the west side towards the lake. The wind was brutal once I got to the shoreline. At the entrance of the yacht club across the Port Credit river stands a lone ship that has been scuttled here to act as a break wall.
After taking some shots of the ship I noticed something I had never seen before – a lighthouse. Now I know this doesn’t seem strange until you realize that the lighthouse stands on the bow of the ship. Odd. I’ve never seen this done before. Walking further down the west side I had to be careful as the ice along the shoreline was very slick. Taking a closer look I noticed patterns in the ice left behind by the waves. Normally you don’t think of this happening with ice as it does with the sand but obviously it does.
The wind was really getting to me so I had to call it quits for the day and headed back to the car to warm up – and a little Starbucks hot chocolate too š
