I was told that there were bird feeders in certain cares of the Claireville Conservation Area so today was the day I was going to find these hidden places. Okay so, they were not so hidden I just never looked for them before. I parked in the lot by highway 50 and walked in toward the field studies centre. As I walked down the road there as a feeder hidden in this small clump of tall bushes.
Lots of little Chickadees were here but being so close to the road most were frightened away. So was he beautiful bluejay that I did not get a photo of. *sigh* When I got up to the field studies building i found a lot of feeders set up and many more birds as well. Cardinals were playing hide and seek in the trees along with nuthatches and of course the Blue Jays high up and as far away as possible from me.
Being late in the day I decided after an hour to head on home to warm up. I wasn’t having as much luck as I had hoped but I will be back again soon.
