I had the day off work but decided to get up early to photograph the sunrise over the Toronto skyline from Humber Bay. We had beautifully muted colours of purple, pinks and oranges before the sun officially arrived.

I knew that there might be some clouds and hoped for something dramatic to happen. The clouds certainly took over and in the photo below arranged themselves temporarily in a v-shape.

The colours unfortunately were not as vibrant as I would have liked but that’s how things go sometimes. You roll with the punches and you move on.
