I spent the afternoon photographing a lawn bowling event at work but as soon as the event was over I boogied over to Guildwood park to meet some friends for an evening shoot. Guildwood is a park on the eastern edge of Toronto on the lake were pieces of architecture were sent after the buildings were taken down for newer more modern ones. At least that’s the story I was told.

With all kinds of sculptures and the occasional ruin its a fun walk to observe things from Toronto’s past. The winding trails take you on a journey through time.

The trails at Guildwood intersect with the 740 kilometre Waterfront Trail stretching along Lake Ontario’s shoreline. So one can go for quite the distance in either direction if you choose to.

We decided to stick to the grounds and had a great time discovering its treasures. It’s a shame the sun went down so early.
