After a great day yesterday at Singing Sands, Kayla and I went back for round two. We decided to take the longer trail before heading home from our weekend away. Along the trail we discovered this grouping of Yellow Lady’s Slipper orchids and I imagined a group of friends arriving to a dinner party. It’s silly but it’s what it looks like to me. And, hey, why can’t flowers have dinner parties?
Continuing on the trail I found this Indian Paintbrush tucked beside a silver birch log. Since most of the ones I have come across on the hike blended into the beach grass this one really stood out.
Both Kayla and I had a wonderful time along the trails and we took our time getting back to the car just to savour the time here. It is one of my favourite places to visit.
