Roy Ramsay, of Outdoor Photography Canada magazine, and I have spoken on numerous occasions about photographing fields of lavender and in one of our previous excursions this summer we came across the Lavender Store out on highway 89 near Minto. Roy decided to call the owner and ask if we would be able to take some photos and the answer was “Yes!” On the day we set out to the farm we found out that the fields were still too young and sparse. Luckily this farm also has some fields of Bergamot so we spent the golden hour shooting these beautiful flowers instead.

We had a great time photographing and look forward to another trip here in 2016 with the hope of getting some lavender fields as well.
