On my way home from Bala a few weeks ago I stopped in at a small town called Coldwater. From the age of 8 until my mid-twenties my parents had a cottage just north of the town, so weekend and weekend we would stop in for some ice cream and devour it at the riverside by the old mill before heading home. On my visit a few weeks ago I found out that they would be hosting a Steampunk Festival the first weekend in August. I was pretty stoked when I found out. So upon returning home I made plans to camp at the nearest park and attend the event.

Tonight was a meet and greet type of event so I went into town to get the lay of the land before the full event the next day. On the way back I stopped at this roadside lake to capture the row boat and the pastel sky.

Tomorrow is a full afternoon of Steampunk love and I can’t wait to see how this plays out. Stay tuned for some pics.
