Another early morning for me as I woke before dawn to find the perfect spot to catch the sunrise. As I drove around the park I saw Egg Rock Light in the early dawn light so I stopped for a quick shot before moving on to a more permanent spot.

Originally I was thinking of a particular area but I wasn’t to sure how safe it would be to get down to so I found a nice spot fairly close to the campgrounds to get settled in for the show.
Acadia Coast
I found others from the nearby camps that had come down to enjoy the sun’s appearance or to meditate in its glow. Listening to the waves hit the shore help one get into the meditation mode. I could easily just sit here all day enjoying Mother Nature.
Contemplation
As the sun rose and the pretty colors had gone for the morning I headed back to camp to sneak in a nap before doing some more exploring of the area. I wanted to check out the Schoodic Peninsula which has Acadia’s National Park’s most recent campground. The Peninsula is less travelled area of the park which make it a nice drive or bike ride along the shoreline. At the top of the peninsula was a little fishing village that had a great lunch spot right on the docks.

Of course I had to try out their shrimp rolls and I was not disappointed. The view was pretty spectacular too.
