After our fun, autumn coloured trip down to New York State last weekend it left me craving for some more Auutmn. Luckily when I want to shoot something like this it’s quite easy with Claireville Conservation Area so close by. So, I went for a little walk in the park and found some amazing colour just waiting to be photographed. Look at this amazing red leafed tree against the blue sky. How can you not be inspired looking at this?

I tried my hand at some infrared post processing with the shot below. I was a little curious to see how it would turn out and I must say – I’m super happy! Sometimes, deep down, I wish we could see the world this way. Like a little switch you could turn on and off. Too weird? Okay I’ll move on.

Going back to colour I spotted this tree with two smaller trees showing off their colour in front of it. One green, and one changing colour – yellow to red. It’s like two seasons, summer and autumn were happening the same time.

I had a lot of fun wandering in the park this afternoon and I will be back again next fall. It’s now my go to place when I can’t get out of the city.
