I was back on the Bruce Trail today and there is lots of snow so that means I get to go out in my snow shoes!! This is my first year using my snow shoes and I am in love. Why did I wait so long? I have no friggin idea. I had so much fun on the trails I had to remind myself to take photographs.
Hidden Surprises
Okay, not really because who forgets to take photos of pretty snow scenes? Not me. I would recommend that if you like snowshoeing bring them up to the Hoggs Falls area and hike the trails there. The snowy scenes are to die for.
Snow Covered Trail
Growing up I was not a winter person. Even in my twenties and most of my thirties I found myself just wanting to hibernate. Things have changed since I started hiking the Bruce Trail. I actually forced myself to get out there and enjoy the snow. Of course it really helps that forests are very pretty things to photograph in winter.
Snowy Trail
In colour or black and white, winter forest scenes always look good. So that is why I force myself into my car and head to the trails when most people are sitting by the fireplace watching a movie. Which would you choose?
