On the Bruce Trail today and it was going to be a tough one; some steep climbs were on the agenda. Not exactly my favourite thing to do on the trails but at least the sun was out warming me as I hiked. The biggest climb of the day was along the penstocks, which up until today I had no idea were there.
You’d think you would see there two towers from the road but I never noticed them. Now that I know where they are I notice them whenever I drive in the area. Weird how that happens.
Another surprise along this section was finding a small waterfall beside the trail. I seem to come across these small unknown (to me) waterfalls on the trail and at those times I wish I had lugged the tripod along with me. In the last little while I have been leaving the tripod behind more for comfort but there are certainly times I do regret it.
Speaking of comfort for the water fall shot I had to get into a precarious position to get this shot to get past the rock on the left. It was an exhausting day on the trails but I felt pretty good about it by the end of the day.
