I’m starting to see more and more mushrooms on the trails as the months pass. If you’ve been reading my blog you know how much I love finding mushrooms. I’m always on the lookout for new ones but I am content to photograph the ones I’ve seen before – like this Common Mycena.

Soon fall will be here and there will be many kinds of mushrooms to photograph along with fall colours. But let’s not rush it too much. I am enjoying my summer after all.  And there is a big road trip on the way to experience before fall even begins thinking about showing up (at least in the area where I live).

While photographing today I noticed a little American Toad just hanging out – okay he was probably hoping I would leave as quickly as possible but unlucky for him I didn’t. I had to catch a few photos before moving on. (Sorry little guy.)

My next post will be about my road trip to eastern Canada, specifically Nova Scotia and Newfoundland so stay tuned for those.
