Autumn is here!! It’s probably a few days before prime colours hit but it’s pretty darn close. With my friend Nigel in tow, I headed north to the Oxtongue River Rapids park just west of Algonquin Provincial Park. While at the park I had a couple of spots specifically in mind for some shots.
While exploring one of the places I noticed this tree that reached out over the river and had these gnarly roots. I used a wide angle lens to make sure I could get the ferns in front along with the gnarled roots of the tree.
Further downstream there was a little more colour along the shoreline. It will be a couple more days before the colour really starts to change along the river.
The last place I wanted to visit is a popular spot with photographers and when we arrived there we were the only photographers as a light drizzle started to fall. We took photos from both sides of the bridge but this one showed the colours off a bit more and just look at the lovely reflections.
