I decided to go on a solo weekend camping trip to Hope Bay Campground just north of Wiarton, Ontario. Weather was a little all over the place with beautiful blue skies on Saturday and then rain first thing Sunday morning leaving me with a wet day on the trails.

The hike today was at Skinner’s Bluff, a wonderful 11km hike along the escarpment with spectacular views of Colpoy’s Bay. I parked over at the Bruce Caves access trail and headed on past the caves onto the bluff.  There were a lot of little things to see along the way:

Doesn’t the last photo look like small purple hands reaching out of the ground…kinds creepy but kinda cute too. LOL

Of course the main reason people hike Skinner’s Bluff is for the views and boy can I tell you the views are crazy good. Oh wait I can show you!

Not too shabby don’t you think?

An absolutely gorgeous day out on the trails today with all the little things and the big views. Can’t ask for more.
