It’s the end of a long weekend here in Canada and it turned out to be another busy one for me. I had weddings on both the Saturday and Sunday and their locations were quite a ways from each other with one in windy Collingwood while the other in hot sweltering Bayfield. The good news is I survived and the even better news is I got to explore the area of Bayfield, located off the eastern shore of Lake Huron, the last morning of the weekend. I decided to play with the infrared camera for most of the shots and below are a few that I took.

A Few Steps More

A Few Steps More

For the wedding yesterday we went down these steps to the beach below for a beautiful shot of the couple on the beach as the sun set so I wanted to come back here specifically for these rickety looking steps. Now that I see them in the bright daylight I’m not sure what made us go down. They look a little unstable but at least the views are epic.

Folmar Windmill

Folmar Windmill

Near Bayfield is the Folmar Windmill. It’s been on my bucket list to visit for quite some time so since I was in the area I decided to swing by. The land is currently owned by an adventure company who just happened to have an event going on this weekend. Typically it’s free to wander the property but because of the event I was told I had to pay to get in. After speaking with a couple of women about why I was there and that I wouldn’t be long they were happy enough to walk with me around the mill and allow me to get some great shots. Thank you ladies!

Old Barn

Old Barn

Since the drive home was going to take upwards of 3 hours I had to get my butt moving but along the way I couldn’t help stopping at this barn by the roadside to get a few shots. Infrared is an interesting beast that I’m still trying to get a handle on but it’s been a lot of fun so far.
