It’s a misty autumn day out today and everything is still green. Temperatures have been on the warmer side so the leaves have not changed to their usual brilliant colour and this is bumming me out a little. The plan today was to drive up the old country roads and head over to Earl Rowe Provincial Park to hike one of the trails. Mother Nature, however, had different plans.
Picnic Path
When I arrived at the park the clouds broke and the rain poured out. That was enough to say no to the long hike I had intended to do. Instead I headed back to a more sheltered area to grab some photos there. The rain let up a bit but eventually I decided to drive back home and see what I could find along the way. It wasn’t long before I pulled over so I could take a photo of an old shed with a small pond in front.
Countryside
The rain had stopped at this point but a mist still hung in the air. Everything was so still and peaceful. Back in the car it wasn’t long before I pulled over again. This time for a fence with a vine that had actually turned to a brilliant red. A hint of autumn!
Autumn Vines
The great thing about getting out to photograph in the rain is the colours, they are much more vibrant when wet. Of course, its much more comfortable when its dry out. š
