At the top of my street is a catwalk that takes me to the other side of the creek than I normally walk. This path is not as well worn as the other side but I think some people still use it to get to wherever they’re going.
Just to the right of the catwalk I spotted this dried leaf, part of a large-ish plant. I like this one leaf all by its lonesome against the wooden shed. And its perfect in black and white. All those beautiful textures.
I’m still pretty fascinated by these little seed pods. What the heck are they? Do they belong to some random plant I’ve never seen or is it something I know well but never paid that much attention to? Most likely it’s the latter but I won’t know for sure until it blooms again, which could be months from now. I’ll be on the lookout though. In the meantime expect a few more photos of it.
I found another new flower that has started blooming – the wild violet. Have you noticed that a lot of the spring plants seem to be purple?
Or is this purple thing just me? Am I just naturally drawn to purple? That’s possible. Don’t worry though soon the trees will start blooming and it will be a sea of white.
