For my neighbourhood walk today I took the catwalk from my street to the creek and the first thing I discovered is these mica cap mushrooms. They’ve almost finished emerging from the soil.

Usually when I’m out hiking in autumn is when I tend to photograph these mushrooms. However, they’re starting to come up here and now so I must get some photos. Did you know that this type of mushroom is edible?
Apple Blossom on the Common Apple Tree
Apple blossoms are finally here! The little buds are opening and soon the trees will be covered in little white flowers. I can’t wait. Expect to see a lot of photos of these flowers.
