I found some chickweed. At least, that’s what I think it is. I use this app called Plant Snap and usually, it gives me an idea of what the plant is, but sometimes it’s not even close. I think it’s right this time. What do you think?
The Fleabane daisies are growing and many are in full bloom. Did you know that they are edible? Not the actual flowers but the leaves. The leaves are “furry” so it might be weird eating them raw so cooking them is the usual way to prepare them.
I found these tiny Common Hound’s Tongue flowers just as I was exiting the catwalk leading to the high school.
The Common Hound’s Tongue is so named because of the resemblance of the leaves to a dog’s tongue. I, of course, didn’t take a photo that shows its leaves. Although the flower petals kind of remind me of a dog’s tongue. Or maybe that’s just the colour that makes me think that.
