Mid-Winter Hike – Claireville

It’s late February, the temps are actually warm enough that you don’t need the heavy jacket and what? there’s no snow on the ground. Not one single flake. It looks like November. A second glance at the calendar confirms – yes, it’s still February. Well…you know what that means? That’s right! A fantastic late day hike in the local conservation area.

Ice Cold Toronto

It was another chilly one in the city of Toronto this morning. I was off to the Toronto Islands to do a renovation update for RCYC. Once over there it struck me that most photos of the Toronto skyline tend to be in the warmer months and its not very often you see the city once the harbour has frozen over.

Icy Blue Toronto

As I walked back to the ferry on Ward’s Island I decided to put together a video for you of the trip back.

Waiting on the Wards Ferry to be taken back to the city.

Hope you enjoyed that little video of my journey on the ice breaker back to the city of Toronto from the islands.
