Mills of Fergus and Elora
Seems Dave Hook and I didn’t have enough of the mills last month so we were at it again today. Our first stop was in Fergus, Ontario at the St. Andrews Mill and Cascade. A steel bridge crosses over the river just up from the cascade and I wanted to highlight the falls with it in the background.
Not too far from St. Andrews is the Beattie Mill that until recently held a flea market but I’m told now stands empty.
My favourite mill is the Elora Mill located in, of course, Elora, right on the gorge. It had been awhile since I’d visited the mill and was surprised to find the city side to be under construction.
I hope they are only renovating the building, a fixture on the river and in town.
