The Wiggly Way to Massachusetts
On the move again today; this time my drive takes me through Vermont and New Hampshire before heading to my campsite in Massachusetts. It was a long day of driving through Vermont and New Hampshire to my final destination: Pearl Hill State Park in Massachusetts. The sunny skies kept me from getting great shots of the areas I drove through so I don’t have much to show you from those two states.
As I entered into Massachusetts I stopped at this church built in the Federal-style back in 1816. It’s white walls glowed against the deep blue sky and I just had to stop to take a photo.
After settling into my campsite at Pearl Hill I decided to venture out to the “swimming hole” to get some late day shots. With the pond completely surrounded on all sides by the trees getting a shot of the sun setting was a no go. That was okay as the light was beautiful and the long shadows of the trees and lit up leaves held my interest.
As I explored the area I found some mushrooms (and you know how much I love mushrooms) so I got down for a closer look. The one below seemed to be smiling. All it needs it some little googl-y eyes.
My stomach started to grumble so I knew it was time to head back to the campsite to get some dinner. Looking forward to tomorrow as I head to Salem and then into Maine.
