Darkness that lies in Claireville

Nigel Banks and I headed out to Claireville today. (Yes I know, I go there quite a lot). Parking at the Finch entrance we walked down the hill, over the bridge and up towards the four way split in the path. Now, normally we turn right but today we thought ‘why not left?’ So that’s what we did. Nigel and I  were surprised that the trail took us up and around to the Claireville Ranch located close to the Queen Street entrance. Which is at the opposite end to the entrance we came in. The path took us past some interesting things.

Tractor

We came across this tractor during our walk and in post processing I wanted to make it dark and gloomy -something out of a horror flick. (Okay, I’ll admit it, I’ve been on a horror flick kick lately.) Just up from the tractor we came across some buildings. There was some sort of an office/barn and we decided to do some exploring.

The Office Door

I particularly like the barely legible No Smoking sign under the big, dark Office sign on the door. As though they didn’t really care if you smoked or not.

And lastly a visit to the barn and its decrepit looking doors.

It was fun to explore a different area of the park to see what treasures lie there waiting to be photographed. Wonder what I’ll find on my next visit.
