The forests of the Bruce Trail always evoke an emotion. The majority of the trail looks similar – the same trees and some of the same undergrowth with the exception of the peninsula with its unique cypress trees.
No matter where I am along the trail it always seems so familiar because of its sameness. It’s why I love getting in my car and driving long distances to see new sections of the trail.
The vibrant greens of the summer can be overwhelmingly beautiful that even taking the colour away from the photograph doesn’t steal the emotion it evokes away.
It is the quality of light through the thickness of the canopy that makes me believe I’m walking through a different world – the hidden world of the Fae.
